McLOUGHLIN SCAR TISSUE RELEASE (MSTR®)

McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release (MSTR®) is a technique used to improve scar tissue and associated symptoms such as numbness, desensitization, pain, hypersensitivity, itching, burning, nausea, changes in physical appearance such as the texture and colouration and restricted range of movement.

Conditions that can respond well to MSTR® include:

  • Post-surgical scars: Caesarian, hysterectomies, appendectomies, mastectomies, amputations, laparoscopic keyhole surgery such as back surgery, knee, shoulder, hip, gall bladder removal to name a few

  • Sports injuries: twisted ankles, micro fascia scars - hamstrings, quadriceps, biceps, pectoral tears

  • Trauma wound scars: accidents, injuries, knife/bullet wounds

  • Burn scars - all degrees of burns

  • Skin grafts

  • Plantar fasciitis

  • Epidural injection sites and vaccination scars

  • Any joints with restricted range of movement: frozen shoulder

  • Cultural scarification where the skin has been cut, burned, scratched, etc

How is MSTR® performed?

Clients usually lie on a massage table or may be seated in a chair if required, for comfort. A 'session' involves gentle but purposeful moves over the scar and surrounding tissues.

Andrea is currently completing MSTR® case studies and is offering a limited number of free consultations.

If you are interested in being involved, please contact Andrea direct on 0410497587.
